It is neither grim nor frivolous. It's just a good time -- and who doesn't want that every once in awhile?

May 18, 2020 | Full Review…

This is so lacking in any form of originality. I was astonished at how quickly I got bored of this.

Stargirl is a welcome entry into the superhero television world that touches on issues of morality, the different types of families, and the importance of helping each other.

Even if this season finale wasn't the best episode of the season, it marked a strong conclusion with plenty of directions to go in the future.

Stargirl occupies a singular niche among DC's TV canon, a prestige production that isn't afraid to show off its emotional range.

DC's Stargirl episode twelve has some unexpected twists, a lot of action, and a cliffhanger like you wouldn't believe! Cannot wait for what is sure to be an epic finale.

The outsider girl discovering a superpower in a small-town high school scenario is very Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but that is no bad thing. In fact, it is the shot in the arm these superhero series need.

Jun 10, 2020 | Rating: 3.5/5 | Full Review…

Brec Bassinger as Courtney is likeable and spunky, and Luke Wilson - returning to TV as a regular for the first time in seven years - reminds you just how good an actor he is when the material is worth his time.

It's saccharine and more than a little corny, but it's also hollow.

Finally the DC live action series are matching up to their ever so excellent line of animated titles . Stargirl is a refreshing take on the super hero space and it proves to pack as much heart as it's emotional. My only issue with star girl is that it doesn't quite decide what it wants to be ( sometimes it tries so hard to be funny in a moment and the next moment it goes way way too dark). It still is good watch and ranks top 5 on my list of DC live action series ( Doom Patrol is my undisputed favorite). One more thing, the action & fight sequences are some of the best I have seen in any movie or tv show. I mean , sometimes it looks as good as what you would see in a Quinton Tarantino movie rendered in all its slowmo glory.

Yay, the most enjoyable tv superhero with good family vibe since The Flash/Arrow. Slightly lighter in feel but definitely worth a watch. In the first episode stargirl seems a bit annoying but thankfully the character grows and gets better. Way better than the some of other DC shows like Super Girl and legends that has dissolved into nonsense. Enjoy!

Un pic imprastiat dar altfel bine facut cu supereroi si idei solide
  • Aug 17, 2020
Survived one episode. Tacky and same old boring storylines
  • Aug 14, 2020
main character was super annoying at start but superhero fan can probably bear with it. so i'd say just passing because show all together isn't bad.

Oh yeah man that was badass

There were WAY TOO MANY PLOT HOLES. Why would a father ever kill his son and wife when his goal is to create a better future. What happened to Courtney and Justin's son plot line. I thought Justin, brainwave, and the Dragon were suppose to be invincible, so how come some amateur children fighters were able to defeat them. Who is Courtney's father and why does the stick work for her. Why is the girl with the goggles talking about Chuck like he is a real person spending time alone in the library laughing at AI jokes it just sad. Why are all the villains in Blue Valley where is the backstory on that. How come it took 15 years for the plan to become a reality. Why is it so hard for Stripes to believe they all would be in Blue Valley. Why were JSA and ISA enemies and why wouldn't they know what each other look like. I finished the whole thing hoping there would be some complexity between the characters but EVERYONE was one dimensional except Justin. RIP Stargirl you had potential but decided to not reach for it.

Unequivocally the best television show on now. I know there isn't much competition currently, but the statement would still stand during many other years. This is a timeless show which offers much more than the trailers or images imply. This is a show for everyone who loves good stories, action, drama, or family, and it still respects and celebrates comic book fans while not pandering or losing the interest of those who never read a comic before. The best thing to come from any DC license since Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, and a host of new characters who have never seen the screen before, the Justice Society of America. Faithful to the comic, and presented in a fresh contemporary way. Season one will be a sleeper hit because it's exclusively available on DC's subscription service, but season 2 on the CW will blow people away, as long as the writers, directors, and producers maintain their high standards and integrity. Here's hoping they can continue doing these stories justice.

I mean show is much better than say Batwoman or more recent seasons of Supergirl. However the show suffers from some weak writing at times. Some character progression is nice but it seems like the writers just don't even remember at times what happened in the previous couple of episodes.
