Tv Season Info

The even more intense, more insane Season 2 finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation's paranoia.

It's not your typical superhero fare.

The second season, much like life in these United States, is structured around a leadership vacuum, and it's an enormous improvement.

"The Boys" is still an imperfect beast, but it gets so many parts right - I haven't even talked about the skilled stunt work or expertly staged action scenes - that you're likely to get caught up in its gorging satire.

Season two proves that if the series is going to be so bloated and only sporadically punchy, it's never going to be as powerful as it thinks it is.

A wonderfully subversive, cynically entertaining piece of work.

Highly entertaining but grossly flawed, The Boys envisions itself as the bad boy of superhero stories. To a degree, it is. But let's not act as if it's the long-awaited mash-up of Shakespeare and Stan Lee.

[Brian] Kripke and his writers have produced a show that's genuinely subversive in the way it critiques the superhero genre's big clichés.

The Boys still stands tall among a landscape littered, groaning, chock-a-block with superhero media.

If anything, it's nastier, funnier and more violent than in its first season.

[For] all its pot-shots at Marvel, The Boys would sure love to be the MCU too.

Oct 9, 2020 | Full Review…

Filled with the show's typical dark humor and callous look at superheroes while introducing a number of interesting subplots to hopefully avoid a sophomore slump.

These ego-maniac gaggle of power-hungry "heroes" take the bloodlust to a whole new level while making a political stance.

The Boys is an interesting show to watch as it walks the line of the source material and creating its own narrative. The choice to release weekly was a dud by Amazon, hopefully they return to a full release once CONVID-19 slows. Clearly they don't have a lot of material to release. 21/10/2020

The Boys continues its violent path of tearing up the superhero genre thanks to smart writing, brilliant performances from Antony Starr and Aya Cash, and its relevant social themes that is extremely intriguing to watch.

Are we back to hating Nazis again? Russians, Muslims, slave owners and all the other bad guys at one time or another we always come back to the big bad Nazis? Power corrupts. No matter the ethnic background. So let's spread the badness around and realize anybody can be bad just as anybody can be good.

Morally so disturbing, but such amazing plot twists that keep you gripped to your seat.

With a blunt weapon this show collide all conservatism with right extremism, this show does not understand memes, nor their superheroes power with consitency, no more than character developpement. And fresca. SOOO bad, so sad the concept was so good.

Makes changes from the source material but nearly always for the better

hard to consider as both seasons were awesome!! I do agree that season 2 was even better in a way than season 1. Though, they are popping off characters faster than they can create them. Is it me, or is the court scene reminds me of the red wedding from Games of Throne? Maybe not, yet I just got that vibe. Love it!! Give me season 3 now!!!

It's been a while since a show got me this excited!!! A must see, very entertaining, fun but also deep and full of satire and a reflection of the world right now. Acting is also great!

Season 2 was a lot ridiculous and raunch was completely unnecessary for story line. Gotta hate Homelander.
